Prostate specific antigen significance in diagnostics of pretumour prostate diseases

The article is dedicated to the problem of pretumour prostate diseases (prostate intraepithelial neoplasia) diagnostics. The application opportunity of total PSA, free PSA and PSA density in differential diagnostics of prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia and PIN was investigated. It was determined, that PSA density can be used as prognostic factor and in differential diagnostics of hyperplastic, displastic and neopastic prostate diseases.
