Early diagnosis of prostate cancer: selection criteria of patients for biopsy

The article is devoted to new approaches to the problem of early diagnosis of prostate cancer and differential diagnosis of benign prostatic hyperplasia. We analyzed the age and the results of clinical examinations, which included: PRD, t-PSA total (ng/ml), f-PSA free (ng/ml) and value indices percent free PSA (% f-PSA) and PSA density (PSA D), three linear dimensions of software obtained with ultrasound - UZD1 (mm) UZD2 (mm) UZD3 (mm) software volume (cm3). The study involved 177 patients shows high information content of the proposed approach in the differential diagnosis of cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia.
