Comparative assessment of postoperative period depending on existence or absence of complications in patients who underwent radical cystectomy

SUMMARY

The following retrospective study presents earlier results of treatment of 92 patients who underwent open radical cystectomy on invasive or recurrent non-invasive bladder cancer, its exstrophy or necrosis as a result of radiotherapy. According to the classification Clavien-Dindo patients were divided into three groups: the first group consisted of 55 (59.8%) patients with uncomplicated postoperative period; the second group - 19 (20,7%) of patients who developed I-II degrees of complications; third group - 18 (19.6%) patients who experienced III-V degrees of complications. Three-year overall survival in the first, second and third groups of patients were, respectively, 70.9%, 42.1% and 38.9%.
