Features of diagnosis of trichomoniasis by polymerase chain reaction and culture method

SUMMARY

The results of our own research 149 men with verified urogenital trichomoniasis. Patients were divided into 5 groups:

I group - 18 patients with symptoms of acute prostatovesiculitis who were treated by classical techniques;

II group - 42 patients with clinical exacerbations of chronic prostatovesiculitis who were treated by classical techniques;

III group - 40 patients with clinical chronic prostatovesiculitis in remission who were treated by classical techniques with the addition of directional rectal ionophoresis Ornidazole with ultrasound;

IV group - 22 patients with symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia who were treated by the classical methods.

The control group (V group) consisted of 27 patients with established chronic prostatovesiculitis amid signs of trichomonas infection who received a classical treatment with metronidazole.

Patients was conducted PCR test, which involved the screening of the material from the urethra and ejaculate, which were taken in sequence. Upon receipt of a positive PCR test for trichomoniasis or detecting Trichomonas typical cell block held microbiological research. Pirogenal therapy after conducting the PCR test was an important condition for the experiment because of the reduction of false-negative response to activation of inflammatory background.

The study evaluated the diagnostic features of trichomoniasis by polymerase chain reaction and culture methods. The positive results.
