Experimental justification of the individual units of pathogenesis in the chronic pelvic pain syndrome

SUMMARY

The model of chronic pelvic pain syndrome with damaging of the sacral plexus, by the bandaging of the largest nerve of the plexus - sciatic nerve was created in the experiment on 51 white mongrel male rats aged four months. The morphological study of the pelvic floor muscles and bladder confirmed the presence of degenerative changes in muscles and nerve structuresand venous congestion.Biochemical changes in blood, homogenates of the pelvic floor muscles and bladder, where activity was evaluated a2-macroglobulin, CPK and LDH are indicated damage and hypoxia both in blood and specific tissues. The increased activity of circulating immune complexes in the blood and the titer autoantibodies in homogenates of the pelvic floor muscles and bladder are proved the presence of autoimmune inflammation. The conclusion of our experimental study confirms that morphological, biochemical and immunological changes are the substrate of pain, and the proposed experimental model can be used for further research.
