SUMMARY

Analyzed the incidence, mortality, the results of clinical supervision and special methods of treating patients with kidney cancer in the Dnipropetrovsk region for 10 years (2003-2012).

Revealed that among all cancer cases in the Dnipropetrovsk region Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC) is 3%, which corresponds to the world standards. From 2003 to 2012 the incidence of RCC in the Dnipropetrovsk region increased from 8,3 per 100 thousand population (294 pers.) to 12,6 per 100 thousand population (419 pers.). Mortality from RCC for 2003-2012 years, taking into account fluctuations in one direction or another, as a whole remains stable, with mortality up to a year has been a steady downward trend in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and Ukraine. Revealed an increase in the number of patients stage I-II. RCC in the Dnipropetrovsk region with 122 (2003 ) up to 217 (2012), the number of patients with III and IV stage. 10 years ranged from increase and downwards. An increase in the number of patients with newly diagnosed from 276 to 384, respectively. Also, a 5-year survival rate after this period has steadily increased as the number of RCC patients in the Dnipropetrovsk region, located at a dispensary. In just the last 10 years, taking into account the fluctuations observed decrease in the percentage of severe cases of RCC from 23,1% to 14,1%.

A clear trend of increasing both the number of new cases of RCC, and the number of patients who have received special treatment. After this period for treatments showed a significant predominance of surgical techniques due to increased number of identified patients with local forms of RCC, the increasing of nephron-sparing surgery and minimally invasive treatment techniques.
