Uroflowmetry parameters values at inspection of patients with the benign prostatic hyperplasia in various age groups

SUMMARY

The analysis of uroflowmetry data on 9 parameters of 70 men without diseases of the lower urinary tract and 263 patients with a benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and also prostate volume and residual urine volume has shown weak correlation between last parameters and condition of lower urinary tract urodynamics according to uroflow parameters. At 25% of all patients: 32% of patients with I degree BPH and 13% of patients with II degree BPH, along with shown symptoms of the bottom urinary tract, uroflow parameters were in norm limits. The obstructive type uroflow curves has been detected at 68% of patients with II degree BPH, and also at 9% of patients with I degree BPH, so uroflowmetry promotes early detection of urodynamic disorders. Obstructive type uroflow curve was detected at 9% of patients with I degree BPH. Men without diseases of the bottom urinary tract after 70 years have a depression of urine flow rates on the average on third. Authentic differences of flow rate and time uroflow parameters between age groups of 60-69 and 70-79 years with BPH wasn’t noted. Carrying out uroflowmetry has great value for emiction disorders objectivisation.
