Optimization of surgical treatment of ureteral injuries due to obstetric and gynecological surgery

The work shows the results of clinical surveillance of 93 patients with acute ureteral injuries due to obstetric and gynecological surgery.

A comparative analysis of current methods to gain evidence in favour of optimization of ureterocystoanastomosis procedure was performed. The indications and appropriate time for the ureterocystoanastomosis procedure in patients with an acute ureteral injury were specified.

The options of ureterocystoanastomosis for treatment of extended defects of the ureter to prevent vesicoureteric reflux on the newly formed anastomosis between the bladder and the ureter are developed.
